Footpath Quality

Footpath Quality

Advocating on behalf of members of the Chamber.

Members have reported that more attention needs to be paid to the footpath damage and restoration' of footpaths in the LGA, particularly Hurstville, Mortdale, Bexley and Penshurst. Where the quality of the footpath tiling and brickwork has degraded to the point of being dangerous. The fixes put in place seem to be temporary, but are not fully completed for years in some cases. These type of asphalt-fixes make the streets and outside of shopfronts look ugly and uninviting.

The Chamber is committed to raising these issues with the relevant parties to come to a resolution for our members.

Georges River Council have encouraged business owners to report all incidences of damage and poor quality paths through their Online Services Request portal.
