Specifically referring to the Hurstville displays set up at Christmas time.
Members have raised the question: Why aren’t the GRC Christmas displays as engaging as other LGAs? This directly attracts pedestrian traffic and visitors, and hence new business over the holiday period. Members would like to know what is the budget set aside for each holiday period display throughout the year as set by Council, and why isn’t more of it being allocated to the biggest and commercially busiest holiday of the year? Specifically around the new Hurstville Plaza area.
The Chamber is committed to raising these issues with the relevant parties to come to a resolution for our members.
